Thoughts from John Wesley

John Wesley’s advice which makes a good New Year’s resolution – though I would prefer to say with or for all the people you can! ‘To’ all the people sounds rather dictatorial!

Happy Moments

None can see God above;
Neighbours here we can love.
Thus may we Godward move,
finding him in others,
sisters all and brothers.
Sing aloud, loud loud,
sing aloud loud loud.
God is good! God is truth!
God is beauty! Praise him!

Methodist Membership cards are issued every year, sometimes at the beginning of the Methodist year – September 1st, or at our annual Covenant service in January. Each year they remind us of an important biblical passage.

Make sure that in your hearts you honour Christ as Lord. Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you about the hope you have. Be ready to give the reason for it. But do it gently and with respect.

1 Peter chapter 3 verse 15
